Penso que estamos todos um pouco ansiosos por ver em acção este jovem que no seu país natal, a Zâmbia, é apelidado de "little genius", "pequeno génio" na língua lusa.

Com o aproximar do desafio do próximo sábado contra os turcos do sivasspor penso que seria oportuno, tal como fundamental para o melhor entrosamento do "pequeno génio", dar uma chance para que ele pudesse mostrar, nem que fosse apenas um pouco, do cheiro do seu futebol rendilhado construido e estudado nas savanas e nas selvas africanas.

Penso que este jovem, se for bem aproveitado pelo mister Jorge Jesus, ainda pode dar muitas alegrias ao Sporting Clube de Braga e a nós adeptos do ENORME SCB

porque o jovem Kalaba merece a sua oportunidade, porque felizmente nós estamos com uma vantagem confortável de 2 golos(e por terem sido apontados fora, como é uma competição europeia, equivalem a 3 golos) do jogo da 1ª mão venho por este meio pedir ao mister Jorge Jesus:

Realmente estou morto por ver jogar esse jogador..só os treinos não nos dão 1 ideia exacta daquilo que ele realmente pode valer, só mesmo a competição a sério. Mas entendo que este jogo, apesar de o resultado indicar uma eliminatória quase ganha, não pode ser encarado como uma rampa de lançamento para este jogador.Não para jogar de inicio. Eu aguardava que ele se entrosasse mais com os restantes colegas e que se enquadrarsse melhor com o clube e no clube. Mas não me oponho a uns minutinhos no final do encontro caso o cenário que espero que ocorra se confirme, ganhar novamente aos turcos!

"Sivasspor remains hopeful over Intertoto prospects

Despite Sivasspor having jeopardized its chances of making the next round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup in a 2-0 loss to Portuguese SC Braga at home on Sunday, Sivas coach Bülent Uygun has said he and the team are still hopeful for a victory against their Portuguese rivals in an upcoming match.


Sivasspor began its training sessions without a break after the previous match in order to prepare for the second leg in Portugal on Saturday. Uygun emphasized that even though Sivas played well on its home turf against the Portuguese team, it still lost 2-0. "Sometimes this happens in soccer. No matter how much you try, how well you play, how driven you are in training, how much you create goal positions or how much you possess the ball during play, the rival team may score two goals even though they created only one-and-a-half goal positions," stated the coach.

Uygun said he was pleased with the performance of his team even though they were not yet fully prepared to play. "If you are looking for someone who is responsible for the loss against Braga, it should be me. I apologize to Sivasspor, its fans and supporters. However, nothing is over yet. We will continue to play soccer with our own philosophy. We will do our best to win against Braga. You can never be hopeless if you are still alive, after all. We have never thrown in the towel. We want to prove this while playing Braga in the second match in Portugal on Saturday. We are working hard to make this happen," he stated.

Answering a question about Sivas goalkeeper Volkan, who was criticized after the first match for conceding goals, Uygun said: "The players may make mistakes, but these mistakes are also mine. A bad performance by goalkeeper Volkan Ünlü crushed Sivasspor's hopes to force its way to the UEFA Cup, as the Turkish team was beaten 2-0 by Braga of Portugal in the Intertoto Cup's third round game played Sunday.

   The home team found some decent scoring opportunities in the first half hour, but strikers Pini Balili and Mehmet Yýldýz could not find the net. The game was turned in the 45th minute, when goalkeeper Volkan Ünlü could not control the ball after a free kick by Braga. Austrian international Roland Linz tapped the ball into the net to help his team take the lead in the first half.

  While Sivasspor was trying to level the score, it suffered another shock, and this time the blunder was more like a disaster. When Braga's Moises took an aimless free kick from across the field, the ball rose unexpectedly after it hit the ground and Volkan could not touch the shot that came from about 70 meters away.

  That goal destroyed Sivasspor's already dashed morale, but coach Bülent Uygun dismisses talk of backing down.

  "It is not over till it's over," said Uygun, adding that his side would force a win at Braga Saturday night.

  While every finger is pointed at young goalkeeper Volkan, Uygun took the blame.

  "Players make mistakes, and if there is a mistake, it is mine," he said. "Those players are the ones who brought Sivasspor to this point. We are a family and will not trade anybody for anyone." If Uygun or the Sivasspor board should be blamed for anything, it could be the choice of using Ünlü as a starter. First-choice keeper Michael Petkovic was out on duty with the Australian national team, and Akýn Vardar was injured. Two days before the Braga game, Sivasspor declared that Ünlü would be sent out on loan. Por estar fora do país, foram poucos os jogos do Braga que pude ver ao vivo nos últimos dois anos. O último foi em Dezembro quando aí fui no Natal.

Tou com uma fome de bola que nem vos digo mas Sábado(?) ou Domingo(?) aí estarei e desta vez é para ficar em Braga. Por isso esta época estou batidinho no estádio, pois nunca deixei de pagar cotas e cadeira.

Não sei se este é o tópico indicado para isto mas queria agradecer a todos aqueles que iam colocando aqui os comentários durante os jogos, uma vez que a televisão nem sempre os transmite e a net é tão lenta que não dá para acompanhar via rádio. O acompanhamento online nos sites dos "pasquins" desportivos também deixa muito a desejar.

Por isso o meu muito obrigado a todos. Graças a vocês estive sempre a par do que se ia passando nos jogos do enorme.

OBRIGADO, saudações braguistas e no próximo jogo já estarei na vossa companhia, espero que sejamos muitos para mostrar desde já que estamos com a equipa a partir do primeiro momento de uma época que acredito que vai ser muito boa.

O treinador do SC Braga, Jorge Jesus, irá antever amanhã, dia 25 de Julho, o encontro com o Sivasspor, a contar para a III eliminatória da Taça Intertoto. A conferência de imprensa terá lugar às 13h00, no auditório do Estádio AXA.

Hoje, os Gverreiros do Minho treinaram à porta fechada, num ritual que se manterá no dia de amanhã, com Jorge Jesus a afinar a estratégia para levar de vencida a equipa turca, que na época passada ficou em quarto lugar no campeonato daquele país.

UEFA - InterToto Cup: Braga vs Sivaspor

Braga goes into this return leg with the two goal advantage, and has excellent chances of going through. The Portuguese were not the better team in the first leg, but have used two mistakes from the home keeper to create a big advantage over Turkish team. Sivasspor's chances were greatly reduced with two goals they conceded from free kicks, both after goalkeeper Volkan Unlu had fumbled the ball. They will now need a miraculous recovery if they are to deny Braga place in the qualifying round of the Uefa Cup.

Braga did well in last year's Uefa Cup

Not many people were sure how Braga will play in the first leg, because of the changes made in the team and the start of the domestic season still far away. But the Portuguese showed that the changes they had made were good ones, and most importantly they had saved the best players Linz, Wender and Frechaut. The new coach is said to have a good reputation in Portugal, and he confirmed that by masterminding the win over Sivasspor. Braga will look to keep the ball possession and not allow the Turkish side to create any chances. The Turks will have to open up and that will allow Braga to hit them on the counter attacks.

The Turks not reaching their potential

Many experts tipped Sivasspor as favourites to win in the first leg, due to the fact they played so good last season, fighting for the title until the end of the league. But they have neglected a couple of facts, first one, the Turks lost all three matches at home against top three teams in the national league, and the second, that they have some younger players who are playing in European competition for the first time. This proved vital as third choice keeper Volkan Unlu, who was force to play because first two keepers were unavailable due to national commitment and suspension, made two costly errors and gave his team tough task in the second leg. Sivasspor will have to push forward, and if they get an early goal this will be an interesting match. However, they will leave themselves open for counter attacks, so they will have to be careful not to concede.

Betting verdict

The Portuguese have a big advantage and will be determined to keep it, by keeping the ball possession, and limit Sivasspor's chances of reaching their goalkeeper. Turkish team will have to attack, if they are to get anything out of this game, thus leaving their defense liable to counter attacks. I don't think Braga will sit back and defend but rather try to exploit the fact that Sivasspor has to go forward. Therefore, betting on over 2.5 goals is probably the best option.

El pasado domingo, en la ida de los partidos de la tercera ronda de la Copa Intertoto, Moisés, defensa brasileño del Sporting Braga, convirtió un gol desde 60 metros al lanzar una falta directa que se le coló por arriba del portero Volkan Ünlü, del Sivasspor turco.
El tanto que significó el 0-2 a los 67 minutos puede resultar definitivo, toda vez que el fin de semana próximo, a los portugueses les vale perder hasta por un gol de diferencia en casa para clasificarse a la Copa de la UEFA.
