ey tambem nao estamos no kosovo, nao temos muito dinheiro, mas fazemos opçoes, nao era impossivel comprar um bilhete, mas acho bem que nao se colabore com esta politica(ridicula) de preços.

our president thinks that a fan that pays his part every month and who had already paid his season ticket, should buy now an extra ticket for 20/25€, and the fans aren't happy with it, we think that's unfair, so many of us will stay at home, its a form to show our indignation for this injustice.

What do you guys think of the victory of ARIS against Red Star (3-0)?

Not a good result for us, specially after Bolton had managed a draw in Munique. We will need at least a draw in Greece unless we beat Bayern at home,
Anyway, we had a very good display against Sporting last Sunday (3-0) and we are more confident we can beat any team. But no one expects a walk in the park. We know most greek teams are very difficult sides when they play at home. It wasn't a real surprise your win against Red Star - maybe we didn't expect such a goal difference but we know you scored in the last minutes of the game...

Apologies for not popping on here for the last few weeks. A lot happened at Bolton - Sammy Lee our manager was sacked and Gary Megson was appointed. It was a very disappointing appointment for Bolton supporters - who let the club know their feelings. However, we can do no more, so we have only one choice and that is to get behind Megson.

The game against Braga wasn't very good. Most Bolton fans felt that Braga should have had a penalty in the 2nd half. But after that decision wasn't given, Bolton should have won 2-0. Diouf made an instant impact when he came on as sub and scored. Davies hit the bar when he should have scored or even crossed. And then Braga equalised. Well done! It didn't do our chances of qualification any good at all.

Next stop was Munich. Around 4,000 Bolton fans travelled to Munich last week and we had a brilliant time. Lots of beer, beer, beer, beer and more beer! The German hosts were very civilised and hospitable and almost everyone had a great trip. As for the result - it was beyond our wildest dreams to get something from the game. Especially with so many players injured. But we scraped a 2-2 draw after Ribery was taken off - a very bad decision by Bayern.

Aris at the Reebok next and then we're all going to Belgrade.

We heard that the RSB hooligans caused much trouble in Greece. Is this so? And how did they treat the Bayern fans when they travelled to Belgrade?

Apologies accepted! 8)
I dont know about the Bayern fans in Belgrade but two seasons ago we played agaisnt them before the group fase and they are simply awful. Some friends, Braga supporters, went to Belgrade and they were advised by the police to not wear our football jerseys or scarfs on the streets because it wasnt safe. And when our supporters went to the stadium, escorted by the police, they had to get in to the stand throught the players access for safety reasons! Imagine! And here they were also the worst supporters ever. They came and left (thank God!) and insulted us during all the match. Even their goal keeper that plays for sporting lisbon now, at the end of the match came over to our supporters showing us the finger. Wanker! But now.... they are coming back here  ;D :P
Anyway, dont expect to be welcome. Be aware because it might be some trouble.
I was in their forum, again 2 years ago, and all they did was to insult and threat. I gave up going there and now dont even bother.
Up Macedonia!  ;)

Hey Basketaris, Alexbous and all greek fans over here...

I´m thinking of flying to Thessaloniki, to check out your great stadium atmosphere live, and..i hope, watch my team performing well   ;D
Can you pls give me your opinion on this doubts I have?  ::)

First, the hour of the match..I know it´s probably too early but is there any idea so far? I saw 21:45 somewhere.
Than the airport way to the stadium..is it difficult to get there, heavy traffic or so (the best flight would arrive at 17:45)
About the tickets..is your stadium usually full on these great  ;) games?
Finally....if you know somewhere to go out after the game (or even before) ...thursday nights...

Cheers!!
Efcharisto!

(another thing..are there good connections to Istanbul? i did intensive search, called the bus company KTEL but they can´t tell for sure how long it takes..."friendship train" would be a better choice?)

First of all, I am really glad at least one fan of Braga plans to come to Thessaloniki for the game!
Regarding the hour of the match, I really don't know when it will be, but normally ARIS UEFA matches in Greece start between 21:00 and 21:45.
If you arrive at 17:45 you will have plenty of time till going to the stadium. In the worst of cases, it is not more than 40-45min away (by car).
Normally the stadium is full, but still always you can find a ticket 2-3 hours before kick off. If you are 100% sure you will come, I can buy a ticket for you and you can join me and my friends (I could pick you up from the airport and we can go together to the stadium)
I suggest you to register to our forum (http://www.greeksoccer.com/forums/index.php?showforum=15), where most of the posts are in English and you can get more help or anything you wish during your stay in Thessaloniki.
