The idea would be to get as many long term socios(with season chairs or not) to take part in the Scheme Socio2021. The idea is simple. Long term membership paid over a fixed term(4 to 5 years) Those who would take part would get the 11th year(2020-21) for free. There would also be a 5 year membership paid over 2-3 years. Taking the 10 year membership as an example. For a current single male member in Nascente Inferior who would pay 50 euro for a chair and 7.50 each month the annual cost is 140 euro and without taking in inflation would be 1400 over ten years. If we estimated that inflation was 2.5% and the annual charge next year did not increase then the total would be 1607.68 divided by monthly payments over 5 years would end up at 26.79 per month. At the end of 5 years(2016) your subscription would be paid up until our centenery year 2021. What better way would it be to show your true commitment to the club. You may wonder how the club gains. Funds paid will not only gain interest in the banks but also make the club more sustainable over the long run. Members who join would get a commemoration polo or jersey or something similar to show their commitment to the cause. Something like "Braguista ate 2021 e depois" The shorter term membership can be run along similar lines. Other ways it would help are to encourage younger members or possible members(6 to 8 years old) to become adeptos "2021" through the "school visits" by showing them that the current growth of the club is a long term goal and that they will be the next generation of club members. There are so many ways that this type of scheme could work. Given that the directors are regularly changed it would take some directors brave enough to see a vision for the future and not short term gains. Membership is only ever increased by sustained and well thought out long term goals.

Agreed .Although the "average zé" has little or no money to spare nowadays, it wouldn't hurt to have these options available .
And I think, judging by our current staff's performance, that 12 years isn't too soon to start promoting our centenial year ... a lot of water will run under the bridge 'till then .
