Michel Platini's push for "financial fair play" may be declared official this week, as the UEFA leader awaits the results of an executive meeting.
Platini has been working to devise a plan that will prevent clubs from spending in excess of their revenues.
The new set of rules has already received approval from the European Club Association (ECA) and the Professional Football Strategy Council (PFSC). Should the UEFA executive members vote in favour of the changes, Platini's plan would likely become effective in 2012.
